BLOOM is proud to be part of the European Sustainable Mining & Innovation Network (ESMIN), a collaborative initiative bringing together EU-funded projects focused on improving sustainability, efficiency, and responsibility in the entire mining lifecycle.
From mineral exploration and resource management to environmental monitoring and post-mining rehabilitation, ESMIN fosters cooperation between research institutions, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to advance innovative and responsible mining practices in Europe.

The transition towards a more sustainable and resilient European raw materials sector requires collaboration across technologies, disciplines and projects.
ESMIN provides a space for EU-funded projects to work together, share experiences and amplify their results. The network aims to:

// Share knowledge and resources (if possible and required) to enhance the work of all projects.
// Increase the visibility and impact of EU-funded research through coordinated communication and outreach.
// Support policy development by providing scientific insights and technological advancements to shape the future of responsible mining in Europe.
ESMIN serves as a platform for:

ESMIN was co-founded by five Horizon Europe projects — MultiMiner, AGEMERA, m4mining, S34I and GoldenRAM — and has grown into a network of 16 projects working across different aspects of sustainable mining and raw materials innovation.

BLOOM actively contributes to clustering and knowledge-sharing activities, creating opportunities to connect its research and innovation with complementary European initiatives.
Spotlight on European Raw Materials Projects — IRTC 2025
As part of the IRTC 2025 conference in Ljubljana, BLOOM contributed to a spotlight session dedicated to European raw materials projects.
Workshop at EuroPM2025
BLOOM also contributed to the EuroPM2025 conference, where it organised a workshop in collaboration with the RESQTOOL project, with the support of the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA).
Clustering exchange in Zaragoza
BLOOM hosted a hybrid clustering exchange as part of its November 2025 consortium meeting in Zaragoza. The meeting provided an opportunity for BLOOM partners and representatives of other European projects to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges and explore potential synergies.
Cross-project dialogue at RMW 2025
At the EU Raw Materials Week 2025, BLOOM participated in the session “Crossroads of Innovation: Shared Challenges and Joint Solutions in Raw Materials.”
The discussions also contributed to a joint policy brief, bringing together project perspectives and recommendations for strengthening innovation and cooperation in Europe’s raw materials sector.
